Truck drivers made it hard for goods to come into Canada by which it helped the rich to make more money. And take money away from hard working people. One thing that no one is saying is that this is all over the world. Not just in Canada. I like to know why. I know a lot of people of all ages that have died of Covid.
The technology is so advanced compare to years ago. The vaccine was tested by many countries. It’s not a chemical, but a lot of people believe it is because of media, Trump and some government officials. Why not help and tell the people the truth. Maybe we can get back to normal. All governments should work together when things are tough. They use too!
Canada should be sending as much Military aid of all types, as possible, to Ukraine. Moreover, Canada should be significantly updating its Military since we live in a world with constant threats
I am in full support of invoking the Emergencies Act. 1. It is only targeting the "freedom Protests". It does not harm anyone else in Canada if used responsibly. 2. It enabled the Ottawa Police to order Tow Trucks to provide towing services. Without the Emergencies Act, this would not have been possible. 3. It provides the order to cancel the insurance of the trucks towed away. 4. It allows Banks to freeze associated bank accounts without a court order. So far over 70 accounts have been frozen. 5. It helped to make crystal clear that the protest was now illegal, so there would be no doubt in a court of law, regarding the actions of Police. While I absolutely agree with the end to Mandates, I do not agree with anyone breaking the law.
Very disappointed about your comments and conservative members actions. Our border with our biggest trading partner here in Alberta was closed for weeks. There were guns and threats here. In Ottawa there was racism, threats, intimidation of people just going about their jobs and lives. This is not a peaceful protest. Action should have been taken long ago.

I don’t think I can any longer support any party who agrees with any of this harm to our country. Carrying guns, threatening local civilians, holding Ottawa at random. Promoting separatism and anti democracy.
These truckers are a minority. Most are vaccinated. I know it’s a pain in the butt having to constantly getting tested but this protest is over the top and we do not need interests outside our country interfering with Canada and Canadians.

The UCP took the cap off charges for utilities. Blame them for your high bills. They want to make their oil and gas buddies rich. They don't care about the middle and lower class and don't pretend you do either. We don't have paid sick days and now antimaskers and antivaxxers can come in to anywhere and bring covid while hospitalizations are still higher than wave 4. Thanks.

The federal Conservatives should carefully consider what it means to vote against the Emergencies Act. From a parliamentary perspective does this important government action mean a loss of confidence in the government and a new election needs to be called if you defeat this legislation? Your party has no leader. If you vote against this act does it mean the protester can return, and take over the city of Ottawa again? Are all charges against the protesters dropped?
I think the Emergencies Act was needed because of the incompetence of the the Ottawa police to enforce existing city bylaws and traffic laws (noise, open fires on city streets, no trucks on Wellington Street, racist flags openly flying, desecrating monuments) the incompetence of the Ottawa mayor and council ( a young citizen had to get an injunction to stop the noise), the resignation of the police chief, and police board chair, the Ontario premier took to long to declare an emergency, the blockage at the borders interrupting valuable trade (3 Coutts border protesters are charged with attempted murder). Blocking the streets for days and all the noise and protesters harassing the people of Ottawa, and elsewhere, stopping border traffic these events across the country were far from peaceful. Your interim leader and past party leaders posing with these mainly white protester (not knowing if some may be radicals) and encouraging them is disgraceful.
Keep up the fight for us Tom. Canada is divided between those with a sense of opportunity and those with a sense of entitlement. We must take entitlement away and let those with a sense of opportunity and work ethic prevail.

I have watched the debates in parliament and want to thank the conservatives for their support of Canadians and not the dictator that we now have. I’m a 66 year old born Canadian & have always been proud of being Canadian. Given the recent actions taken by Trudeau and the Liberal party, with of course the support of the NDP, I am now ashamed to be a Canadian. Canada was once viewed as the dominant peacekeeper in the word. Trudeau has destroyed this and the unity of Canada. He couldn’t even maintain his number one job as Prime Minister to unify Canada.
